Clouds over Cuba

To honor the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis, we partnered with Tool of North America to create an interactive multimedia documentary, combining elements of a traditional documentary with an interactive experience. The site, cloudsovercuba.com, lays out the full story of the Crisis in riveting detail through dozens of archival photos, videos, documents and audio recordings. We also filmed a fictional “what if” scenario, allowing users to access a heartbreaking short film that takes place in an alternate 2012, a world in which the Crisis escalated into nuclear war 50 years prior.
